Hero of Ukraine, full holder of the orders of "Bohdan Khmelnytsky" and "For Courage" - one of the best Ukrainian attack pilots, thirty-year-old Vladislav Rykov, has made 385 combat flights. The 203rd training aviation brigade of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine bears the honorary name "named after Vladislav Rykov.".
Vladislav Rykov died on February 7, 2024 in the Donetsk region, his plane was hit by a Russian missile. The legendary pilot was originally from Luhansk region, but his life was closely connected with Chuhuiv, so his story deservedly replenished the "Book of Memory of Defenders of Ukraine from among the residents of the Chuhuiv urban territorial community who died in the fight for the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine.".
