The beginning of spring opens the fire-hazardous season. The period of the year during which fires occur en masse in ecosystems, namely in forest and steppe zones. Within two days, the SES units eliminated 93 fires, destroying 76 hectares of dry vegetation. Quite often, such fires spread to the residential sector, power lines and other objects. Unfortunately, there are cases when people die and are injured.
Thus, in the village of Novopokrovka, Chuhuyiv district, Kharkiv region, an 87-year-old woman died while burning dry grass. Her body was found by local residents in a burned area. The woman was burning dry grass and garbage around her homestead, but lost control of the situation, found herself in the center of the fire, lost consciousness and died.
Dear citizens! We remind you that the current legislation provides for administrative and criminal liability for the destruction or damage of forest areas, green spaces around settlements, along railways, burning stubble, dry vegetation or its remains.
Strictly follow fire safety rules and do not provoke fires in ecosystems!
