An exhibition of participants of the XXIV International Repin Plein Air, which was held from July 15 to August 5 last year in Chuguiv, opened in the Vynogradsk exhibition hall Impasto. The final exhibition presents the works of 25 artists from different cities of Ukraine and abroad. The plein air was held online under the title «Ukraine Lives in Songs and Paintings» and was dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the birth of Ilya Efimovich Repin. The artists created their works, inspired by their favorite Ukrainian folk songs.

This exhibition became one of the steps in the cooperation of the two cities, communities. The Chuhuiv community was represented at the exhibition by the Deputy Mayor - Manager of the Executive Committee, Lyudmila Makarenko, who emphasized that the traveling exhibition of the Repin plein air is not only an important artistic event, but also a symbol of the unity of communities through culture and art.

– The exhibition is a wonderful cultural initiative of the Chuguiv community to present and popularize an art project that, despite the difficult situation in the country, continues to work and expand the geographical map of the Repin plein air. The plein air unites artists from different regions and countries, which contributes to cultural exchange and the promotion of Ukrainian art, – says Lyudmila Makarenko. – The exhibition creates an opportunity to show people art that unites the song and artistic heritage of Ukraine, which is especially important now, when national identity and culture are of great importance.

This project has great potential for spreading a positive image of Ukrainian culture. It has already been presented in Kharkiv at the State Industrial Production Institute, in the Slobozhanshchyna Gallery, unfortunately some paintings were damaged by shelling by the occupiers on State Industrial Production Institute at the end of October 2024, but the exhibition continues its work and was presented in the city of Bogodukhov, Kharkiv region, currently in the city of Vynohradiv, and then it will continue to travel around Ukraine and will be presented in other cities of Ukraine. It came to the city of Vynohradiv because Margarita Tegze, an artist from Vynohradiv, became a participant in this open-air exhibition.
