Dear residents of the Chuhuyiv community!
Today, December 14, we honor the heroes who stood up for humanity during the days of the most terrible man-made disaster of the 20th century - the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. This day - the Day of the liquidator of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant - reminds us of the courage, self-sacrifice and heroism of those who, risking their own lives and health, protected the world from the radiation threat.
Our liquidators are true heroes whose feat should not be forgotten. It was thanks to their selfless work that we managed to localize the consequences of the accident and minimize its impact on the lives of millions of people. You are an example of courage, humanity and strength of spirit for future generations.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who took on this difficult duty during those terrible days. Each of you made an invaluable contribution to preserving the lives and health of humanity.
Unfortunately, for many liquidators, this struggle had serious health consequences, and some, unfortunately, gave the most precious thing - their lives. Eternal memory to the heroes who are no longer among us, and a low bow to their families.
Dear liquidators, your courage will always be an example of patriotism, endurance, and faith in the victory of good over any difficulties. May your hearts always be warmed by the gratitude of society, and your homes filled with warmth, health, and love.
Thank you very much for your feat and I wish you good health, longevity, and family comfort!
Sincerely, Head of the Chuguev City Military Administration Galina Minaeva
