On December 3, a festive event was held in Chuguiv for children and their parents who participated in the children's drawing competition "The Community of My Dream" and presented its final exhibition.
The competition, announced by the Chuguiv City Council in September of this year, was held as part of the next stage of developing the Development Strategy of the Chuguiv Territorial Community until 2027.
Young artists were invited to draw their vision of the future of our community. According to the terms of the competition, children aged three to seven participated in it.
Many families with young children responded to the call to join the competition. 84 participants submitted 97 works to the competition! Mothers and grandmothers of the young artists of the competition say that the thematic drawings were created by the whole family: they discussed their dreams and desires with the children and helped transfer them to a sheet of paper using drawing tools.
The themes of the drawings were extremely diverse: from modern schools and cozy parks to innovative businesses and cultural centers. Each drawing tells a unique story about how the children want to see their community in a few years.
Addressing the young artists and their parents, the Head of the Education Department of the Chuguiv City Council, Maryna Rebrova, on behalf of the City Council leadership, thanked them for their participation in the competition and creative ideas, and noted that these drawings are a source of inspiration for the entire community, and children's dreams were taken into account when developing the community development strategy.
The "Community of My Dream" competition once again proved that the future is in the hands of the younger generation, and their dreams are our guide to creating a comfortable, modern, and promising community.
