The mobile security class project was implemented with the support of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the State Emergency Service, the National Police, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, and the assistance of the Kharkiv Regional Emergency Management Agency.
«"Due to the enemy's armed aggression and active hostilities, our region remains one of the most contaminated with explosive objects in Ukraine. Mine danger is a reality that, unfortunately, our children face. It is extremely important that they know what to do if they see a suspicious object. The mobile safety class has become an important tool that helps convey this knowledge simply and clearly. Children not only listen to specialists, but also learn how to behave in dangerous situations," said Oleg Synegubov, head of the HOVA.
The mobile safety class has been operating in the Kharkiv region for a year. During this time, specialists from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, juvenile prevention units of the National Police, and psychologists have held about 300 classes in the region's communities, which were attended by more than 5,000 children of different age categories, said Iryna Tsekhmystro, press officer of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region.
The mobile classroom learning area is equipped with stands and demonstration materials. There are places to store educational and information resources. The mobile classroom is also equipped with a power generator and the Starlink satellite system, which guarantees uninterrupted access to the Internet. The room is also air-conditioned. From 10 to 15 students can be inside the classroom at the same time, and when placed outside, in the warm season, it is possible to hold classes for groups of from 20 to 25 students.
