To avoid falling prey to human traffickers, it is worth following safety rules:
- Be careful – never give your identity documents to anyone. Your identity is your main asset;
- Learn the language of the country you plan to work in. Basic knowledge will help you control the situation;
- Do not share personal information online. Remember cybersecurity;
- check working conditions before accepting any job offer;
- always inform your loved ones, relatives and partners about all the details of your trip: route, country, destination, international phone number, name of the contact person who will meet you, and other small but equally important details of your trip;
- Come up with a code word with your loved ones that you will use if you are in danger;
- Keep a list of phone numbers of Ukrainian embassies and consulates abroad with you.
