Veterans can get a grant for their own business: what is needed for this

Participants in hostilities can receive grants of UAH 250,000 - UAH 1 million to start or develop their own business.

Grant programs provide for the provision of grants in the amount of:

  • 250 thousand UAH: for a participant in hostilities and/or a person with a disability as a result of the war, provided that one job is created;
  • UAH 500,000: for the wife/husband of a combatant and/or a person with a disability as a result of the war, provided that two jobs are created;
  • UAH 1 million: for a combatant and/or a person with a disability as a result of war who has been registered as an individual entrepreneur for over 3 years, provided that four jobs are created, at least 2 of which will be occupied by veterans or persons with a disability as a result of war.

We inform you that grants of UAH 500,000 and UAH 1 million will be provided subject to co-financing with the recipient: UAH 301,000 of the funds is invested by the grant recipient, UAH 701,000 of the funds is added by the state in the form of a grant.

Grant funds can be used to purchase equipment, raw materials, supplies, rent premises and vehicles for business, as well as purchase licensed software, and pay for marketing and advertising services.

To receive a grant, a veteran or a spouse of a veteran must submit an application through the Diya portal along with a business plan for their project. After checking the applicant's credit history, documents, and business plan, they must undergo an interview with specialists from the State Employment Service. Based on the results of the interview, a decision is made to grant or deny the grant.

Grant recipients will be able to receive free entrepreneurship training and consultations at employment centers.
