The United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR), in partnership with the Ministry of Reintegration, is implementing a joint project to provide one-time cash assistance for the purchase of solid household fuel for vulnerable categories of the population in front-line areas.
This is a payment of 21 thousand hryvnias per household for the heating season.
Priority is given to people living within a 10-kilometer zone from the state border with the Russian Federation or the contact line. These are communities in Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, Luhansk, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv, and Chernihiv regions.
To receive assistance, citizens had to submit relevant applications to local authorities by September 16. However, in order to ensure proper coverage of the population with assistance, applications will be accepted until September 25, 2024.
The algorithm for obtaining financial assistance for the purchase of solid household fuel can be found at by reference.
