The death of each of our defenders in the war is a huge tragedy. However, the heart is especially constricted when you see the year of birth of the fallen Hero – 2003.
These children, strictly speaking, should build the new Ukraine that we all dream of – free, strong, and honest.
But so far, on the path to this dream, we are suffering heavy and painful losses.
Today, a touching but sad ceremony took place in Zarozhne - the parents of the deceased defender of Ukraine were presented with their son's awards: the Order "For Courage" of the 3rd degree (posthumously) and the Medal "For the Defense of Ukraine".
Serhiy Samodurov will be 19 forever. A paramedic by training, he joined the border troops at the call of his heart, where he saved the lives of his comrades. He died during a rescue operation - while being part of the combined evacuation group "Helpex" near Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region.
Serhiy was buried in Kharkiv, on the Walk of Fame.
The Chuguiv community misses every one of its sons and daughters who gave their own lives for the lives of thousands of their fellow countrymen. Let us remember: we must be worthy of this priceless gift.
