The war seriously changed the labor market in the Kharkiv region: some enterprises stopped or relocated, thousands of people lost their jobs, and some were forced to change their profession.
In such conditions, support during the job search becomes critically important. That is why the charitable foundation "SpivDiya" in the region provides free career counseling to residents of the region.
Specialists work with people individually: helping them understand their strengths, identify possible career paths, prepare a resume, and pass an interview. For many participants, this is the first step to a new stage in their professional lives.
665 consultations provided over 4 years
During the implementation of the project in the Kharkiv region from 2022 to March 2026, the following results were achieved:
- 665 career consultations were conducted;
- 375 people received assistance;
- 80 have already found jobs;
- Another 60 people are in the process of finding work.
Most often, people who seek help are those who have lost their jobs due to the war, have moved within the region, or want to change their profession after many years of working in the same field.
History of changes after career counseling
Svitlana Torbina, a resident of the region, turned to a career consultant after moving with her family from Kharkiv Oblast to Ternopil Oblast. She was confused and a little discouraged, but a conversation with the specialist turned everything around.
«The career consultant asked such precise questions that I seemed to see myself from the outside. And suddenly I realized: I really can do more. I deserve something different, better.»", - recalls Svetlana.
Today, the woman manages stores, thinks about her own business, and no longer doubts: she definitely deserves more.
According to Yevgenia Goncharova, head of the "Singing Action Career" program, many people turn to her not only for advice on work, but also for support.
«Often people come to us feeling insecure or even confused. Our goal is to help them see their potential and understand that a new professional path is possible.»", she notes.
