Cleanliness as a shared responsibility: A guide to the improvement of Chuguev for residents and businesses
Spring 2026 in Chuguiv is a traditional time for renovation and cleaning. While the city is flourishing, we remind residents and entrepreneurs about the current Landscaping rules, which help our city remain orderly and comfortable. Although the basic document was adopted back in 2013, its norms remain the foundation of order in the community.
The main operator of cleanliness in the city is KP "Chuguyiv Communal Complex"«, which at one time became the legal successor of "Sanochistka". However, the comfort of our community depends not only on utility workers.
The 20-meter rule and the zone of responsibility
Did you know that the cleaning area is not limited to the doorstep of your home or store? According to the rules:
- Enterprises and institutions are obliged to maintain the adjacent territory within a radius 20 meters along the perimeter.
- Owners of private homes must take care of the area up to the roadway of the street.
- Retail outlets (kiosks, pavilions) are also responsible for a 20-meter zone around the facility.
Good Friday and the "standard ballot box"«
Friday in Chuguiv is officially defined as general sanitary day. This is the perfect time to check the condition of the surrounding area and facades. As for bins, they should be located near each entrance to a store or office (no more than 2 meters away). Important: the bin should be emptied of garbage daily or when it is one-third full.
City Aesthetics: Paints and Lawns
Improvement is not only about the absence of garbage, but also about the appearance:
- Small architectural forms: Fences, benches, and advertising structures should be painted at least once a year.
- Green areas: Property owners must mow their lawns regularly.
- Natural priority: It is prohibited to use asphalt in parks and squares - only natural materials (stone, sand) or compacted soil.
It is strictly forbidden:
- Garbage burning: Burning any type of waste, including leaves and plastic, is strictly prohibited within the city limits.
- Unauthorized earthworks: Any excavation for laying cables or networks requires official permission from the housing and communal services department.
- Damage to facades: Painting walls faced with granite or other natural stone is not permitted.

We remind you that violation of these rules entails liability in accordance with Article 152 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses. Control over cleanliness is carried out by a specialized commission of the city council and authorized officials.
